Edmonton, AB (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Brady Stockton posted a three-under 69 Friday
to remain a co-leader after two rounds of the Edmonton Open.
Stockton, who shared the first-round lead with Robert Gates, completed 36
holes at 10-under-par 134. He was joined in the lead by Graham DeLaet and Jim
Rutledge, who both shot 67 for the second straight day.
Hugo Leon also carded a five-under 67 and is alone in fourth at minus-eight.
Gates tumbled into a tie for 25th at minus-four after stumbling to a three-
over 75 on Friday.
Stockton birdied the first, but gave that stroke back with a bogey on the
third. He rebounded with a birdie on the par-three fourth.
After birdies on eight and nine, Stockton faltered to a double-bogey on the
par-four 11th. He recovered those lost strokes with birdies on 14 and 15.
Stockton bogeyed the par-five 17th at Glendale Golf and Country Club, but
birdied the last to share the second-round lead.
DeLaet ran off three birdies in a four-hole stretch from the 12th before
tripping to a bogey on the 17th. Around the turn, he poured in three straight
birdies from the first to jump to 10-under. He parred his final six holes to
end there.
Rutledge, who played alongside DeLaet, birdied the 11th and 12th, but dropped
a shot on 13. He birdied the 17th and around the turn moved to minus-eight
with a birdie on the first.
He bogeyed the fourth, then birdied five and six. After a bogey on eight,
Rutledge eagled the par-five ninth, his last, to finish at minus-10.
Barrett Jarosch (67), Yohann Benson (67), George Coetzee (70), Garrett Sapp
(70) and Liam Kendregan (71) share fifth place at seven-under-par 137.
The cut line fell at one-under-par 143 with 70 players moving on to the
weekend. Defending champion John Ellis made the cut on the number.
