Rachel Alexandra suffered a one-length defeat to Persistently in the Personal Ensign at Saratoga. Rachel's point total fell from 113 to 36 to drop her into seventh. Two-time Eclipse Award winner Gio Ponti (24) and five-year-old mare Proviso (22) retained their respective places in eighth and ninth.
