The 25-year-old hit .320 for the month, leading all Junior Circuit rookies

hits on three separate occasions.
As of the end of June, Reimold led all AL rookies in batting average (.296),
homers (nine), RBI (20), slugging percentage (.533) and on-base percentage
(.375).
Others considered for the honor were a pair of pitchers: Toronto's Ricky
Romero (3-1, 2.36 ERA) and Baltimore's Brad Bergesen (3-0, 2.23 ERA, 19 K in
36 1/3 innings).
