ISU shot 38 percent in the first half to edge a 27-25 halftime lead. SIU blew the game open on a 15-4 run sparked by a Young trey midway through the second half, however. Young's jumper with 4:16 remaining notched a 50-40 lead for the Salukis heading down the stretch. Game Notes Southern Illinois recorded a 61-48 victory over Indiana State back on January 31st, and the Salukis hold a commanding 74-35 advantage in the all-time series between the teams.
