Baylor put the game away in the second half, opening the second 20 minutes with a back-breaking 24-5 run to take a 57-29 lead with just under nine minutes to go in regulation. The Lady Bears went on to outscore Kansas State 37-17 in the second half, leaving no doubt as to the outcome of the game. Baylor shot 56.3 percent from the floor, while holding Kansas State to just 14-for-53 (26.4 percent).
