07/26/2010 -
Nashville, TN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Nashville Predators have signed
defenseman Ryan Parent to a two-year, $1.85 million contract.
He will be paid $850,000 in the upcoming 2010-11 season and $1 million in

The 23-year-old Parent was reacquired by Nashville from Philadelphia in a June
trade that sent defenseman Dan Hamhuis to the Flyers.
In 48 regular season games in 2009-10, Parent collected a goal and two
assists and then added a goal in 17 playoff games during the Flyers' run to
the Stanley Cup Finals.
He has totaled that one goal and six assists in 102 regular season games.
The Predators originally selected Parent with the 18th overall pick in the
2005 NHL Entry Draft and sent him to Philadelphia in a February 2007 deal
that brought Peter Forsberg to Nashville.
